I was born in Kodiak, Alaska. What a beautiful place to start a life! We moved to Washington State in 1979.
After answering questions like "did you live in an igloo?", we fit right into life here. Life was pretty normal growing
up. My sister and I spent all of our free time riding our horses and planning our shelter for all stray animals.
I discovered that music was very important to me when I was in 3rd grade. I sang and danced and listened to music
24/7. I had a teacher tell me I sounded like a soul child when I sang. I suppose that stuck. That's when
the poetry started. Songs and poetry go hand in hand.
When I moved out of my parents house, I must of gone through 300 different jobs. I am just a free spirit.
I honestly can not be cooped up for 8 hours a day. I literally loose my mind. That's when I decided to become
a Nanny. This is when I discovered that there was one more aspect in my life that was extremely important. Children.
Children have taught me so much about life. With children, I learned how to stand up for myself, that being
yourself is the key to happiness. I learned about honesty and the importance of promises. I feel so very lucky
that I was able to include all of these little spirits in my life. I also learned that I needed children to complete
the corners of my life....Music, animals, poetry and children. These corners are the source of everything
creative inside of me.
I am an Aquarius child and a jack of all trades! I have so many interests and want to do so many things. My new thing is
belly dancing. HILARIOUS, huh? Turns out I'm really good at it. Now if I could get the body to match the art...: ) Sean
giggles everytime I am excited about something new. He things I'm a big goof.
Now, as far as my music. I gotta get back out there. I love singing, I love performing. Any jazz musicians want to get
together?? My sound is Sarah Vaughnish...so, if I can fit in to what anybody is doing, let me know.
